Plot: Ten years after Infernal Affairs, Hong Kong filmmakers have again raised the bar on the crime genre! The brainchild of first-time writer-director duo Longman Leung and Sunny Luk, Cold War reveals the inner workings of Hong Kong’s law enforcement systems as the city is faced with an unprecedented security crisis. Playing rival police commissioners vying for top power, Aaron Kwok and Tony Leung Ka Fai headline the film’s star-studded cast, which also includes Eddie Peng, Aarif Lee, Gordon Lam and Charlie Young, plus Andy Lau in a special appearance. The intense and tight-paced cop action thriller gives audiences an edge-of-the-seat experience with intelligent, layered plots in addition to exciting gunfights and car-chase scenes choreographed by action director Chin Ka Lok. Designated as the Opening Film of the 17th Busan International Film Festival, Cold War has gone on to take moviegoers everywhere by storm and notably become the highest-grossing Hong Kong film of 2012.
